Latin NY Magazine held the 1975
Latin NY Music Awards.

It is still hard for me to believe that it's been 30 years since we presented
the Latin NY Magazine Music Awards.
Aside from Stevie Wonder's surprise appearance, I had forgotten so many
of the details until I started to read this June 1975 issue.It documents our
struggle to get our music recognized and included in the Grammys as well
as what happened on that historical night that ignited the Salsa Explosion.
It is an honor and a pleasure for me to share this bit of salsa history with
you. I hope you enjoy the contents of this issue and learn something new
in the process. I hope you also appreciate all the effort that it has taken to
bring all of this to you.
